I'll be there on Friday!
Little by Little, the Brad Ross-Ellen Greenfield-Hal Hackady musical about love and friendship, which ran at NYC's York Theatre in 1999, is being showcased this spring at the John Houseman Studio II Theatre. A sung-through piece, the musical follows a man and two women from childhood friendship to the love triangle which evolves as they grow into adults. Brad Ross wrote the music, while Ellen Greenfield and Hal Hackady penned the lyrics. Hackady, known for his playful wordplay, wrote Goodtime Charley, among other works. Greenfield and Annette Jolles (who also directed the York production), authored the original story.
Jess McCleod (Encores! New Moon) will direct the current version, and Brian Cimmet (Main State Music Theatre) will musical direct with David Niles (Reach for the Stars), Erin Leigh Peck (I Love You, You?re Perfect, Now Change; Dance of the Vampires), and Lauren Rubin (Donkey Show) completing the romantic triangle.
